Type: Sirop
Ginger flavored syrup

To make: Peal a ~3" piece of ginger and cut into chunks. Add ginger to 1 cup of boiling water. Add 2 cups of sugar to boiling mixture and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and let sit for a while to let syrup absorb the ginger flavor. For less syrup just stick to 2 parts sugar for 1 part water recipe.

This is one of my favorite martinis! If you are afraid to drink gin, this drink will change your mind. The Lemon Gingerini incorporates ginger syrup (very easy to make at home, or substitute with fresh ginger), gin, and lemon to produce a slightly herbal and incredibly refreshing drink.
