Classic Ramos Gin Fizz

Famous cocktail popularized by the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. Huey Long's personal favorite.

Ingredients [ oz | cl ][ My Bar ]
1 12 oz Gin (London Dry)[ Add ]
12 oz Lemon Juice[ Add ]
12 oz Lime Juice[ Add ]
1 oz Simple Syrup[ Add ]
3 drops Orange Flower Water[ Add ]
1 oz Club Soda[ Add ]
3 drops Vanilla Extract[ Add ]
2 oz Heavy Milk Cream[ Add ]
1 Egg White[ Add ]
Method: Prepare in a shaker
Glass: Collins
Recipe:
  1. Add gin, citrus juice, simple syrup, orange flower water, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and egg white to shaker.
  2. Dry shake (no ice) for 1 minute.
  3. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 12 minutes for optimum quality.
  4. Strain cocktail into Collins glass.
  5. Slowly pour Club Soda to fill glass while whipping with a straw to create a nice froth.
  6. Enjoy!

I don't think so. I've seen similar recipes with similar times. Needless to say, I don't shake the full 12 minutes for my drink though :)
